Horse Racing
The Elko County Fair includes seven fantastic days of horse racing with Pari-mutuel Betting. The Racing Office officially opens August 19th and all owners and trainers must be licensed prior to the first day of racing. The Race Track will officially open for training on August 5th. For more information you can call 775-738-3616 or after August 20th the racing office at 775-738-5686. Important dates to remember are the 1st of every month of April, May, June, July, August when race nomination payments are due. They must be postmarked by the first of each of those months.
